The DVR information needed by the Digital BUS-WATCH® surveillance system to establish a
network connection to the specified DVR must be entered into the fields of the DVR Info dialog
box. A brief description of the required fields is given below:
Name: Descriptive display name for this DVR (arbitrary)
Address: IP Address assigned to this DVR *
Port: Client port of this DVR (typically = 80) *
Video Type: Set to Rm-Mpeg4 for a R1001/R4001/R8001 Mobile DVRs
Channel: Number of channels of the target DVR:
1 channel for a R1001 Mobile DVR
4 channels for a R4001 Mobile DVR
8 channels for a R8001 Mobile DVR
I-Frame: Set this to Y on DVRs that will be connected through a cell phone tower network.
The DVR will record all video but send back only the I-Frames
Channel Name: Descriptive display name for each channel (camera) of this DVR
(Optional – can be left blank)
* Note: The values in the IP address (Addr) and port fields must match the settings of the target
DVR. Please contact your IT administrator and/or consult the DVR hardware manual for
information on DVR IP address and port settings.
To create an entry for a DVR within an existing group
Select the desired group
Click the Add Button located below the DVR entry pane.
The DVR (Base) Info dialog box will appear.
After the required information has been successfully entered
Click OK to accept the information to create an entry for the DVR within the currently
selected group
Cancel to discard the information and skip entry creation.
Focus will return to the Devices tab.
A list of DVR entries within the currently selected group appears in the DVR entry pane.
To edit the DVR information for an entry
Select the entry from the DVR entry list
